Beet is a conceptual portable speaker developed during undergraduate studies as an exercise in bio-inspired design and formal exploration. The project investigates how biological references can inform product form while serving as a platform to develop visual and rendering skills.
The project adopted a bio-inspired design approach focused on the symbolic and perceptual dimension of biomimicry rather than direct functional optimization. Biological references related to beehives and bees were used to inform form, rhythm and visual language, reinforcing symbolic associations between sound, vibration and natural patterns. In this context, biomimicry was applied as a semantic design tool, supporting conceptual coherence and expressive form generation rather than engineering performance.
